Fredrick dougles Fredrick Douglas and Harriet Jacobs Both of the narratives of Harriet Jacobs and Fredrick Douglas were very diverse in style, but two told similar stories of ?America?s National Sin,? slavery. From Douglas? correlation of his brio to being a commodity, to Jacobs? verbose and drawn out drool of her life the narratives portray the atrocious treatment of the slaves, and the stories of the relationships with their masters. One of the overriding problems that Douglas had was the fact that he did not even know his make age. He portrayed this problem as the initial occasion he said in his narrative.
