In the book Mans Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl, Frankl explores the many realms of creed while enduring the most rigorous of conditions as come up as climate. Frankl explores his organized religion through his own paroxysm, his love for his erotic love wife and lastly through the quintessential faith in concentration camp: the future. Frankls faith in the many assortments of his disembodied spirit as well as the extreme suffering he endures would, in my opinion, classify him as a Jew; for Jews have no specific icon to worship or have faith they also time and time again have dealt with the belabor of suffering.
Frankl obtains faith through suffering; including his own suffering and the suffering of others around him. All of the prisoners around him as well as himself went through, things which we would consider unbearable, torture daily. It was as though Frankl had become disposed to it to expect it each sidereal day but was unsure about what it would be or when he just had naturally expected it to come. all over man is confronted with part, with the chance of achieving something through his own suffering (p.89).
Frankl felt as though the suffering he experienced was doom for him and he did not want to change his own fate; if his fate chose suffering he would have to suffer that day and have faith that soon fate would bring him a suffer-free day. Frankl used suffering as a way to lounge around through the day, in a way that if he could hold out the torture of concentration camp what couldnt he do? Emotion, which is suffering, ceases to be suffering as soon as we form a clear and precise picture of it (p.95).
