I enjoyed reading the historical fiction book A boy No More to an extent. This book was about the life for a Nipponese American in America in valet War II. The life of a Jap in America was non very loving. Americans were prejudice against the Japanese. They thought all Japanese Americans were spies and criminals that were spot for the Japanese army, and they wanted to kill them. It was not a pleasant experience for me. Even though it was an excellent historically put on story of a 15 year-old Japanese American who had to drop dead to deliver a letter to a friends grandpa in an internment camping site, it was very sad that the Japanese were being discriminated against, and it was not fair at all for them.
Adam Pelko is the main character in the story. Other characters ar Adams Mom and young sister Bea, Davi Mori, his trump out friend, Nancy, Adams soon-to-be girlfriend, Babe, a school bully who ends up being Adams friend, and Jerry. These characters are realistic. They could sop up been people in real-life. The characters do not have supernatural powers or anything of the sort, they are just plain populace in the United States in World War II. My preferent character would have to be the main character, Adam Pelko.
He is my favorite because he is a brave, young teenager that about dies to do something for a friend. He risked traveling to Manzanar, a Japanese internment camp. Adam is also very polite, but sometimes he does not respect his mother because he thinks she leave behind not let him get out of the house because he is too irresponsible and she is scared that because he is part Japanese, the jurisprudence may catch him and put him in a camp with the others.
